Rock Solid Excavation hauls heavy machinery — skid steers, mini excavators, dozers, and more — with the right trailers and the experience to load, secure, and deliver it ready to run. Whether it's a local move, a multi-stop run, or a tight-schedule pickup, the equipment shows up where you need it, when you need it. Michigan roads in any season are no place to cut corners on securing a load, so we don't.

What We Haul

If it needs a trailer and knowing how to load it, we can move it. We match the trailer to the machine and the route so each piece travels safely and arrives ready to work.

A machine that shows up late or shows up wrong costs you a day. We plan the haul around your schedule, load and secure the equipment properly, and get it to the site ready to go. Multi-stop runs get sequenced so each drop lands when it should, and tight-schedule pickups get handled without the scramble.

On Time and Ready to Work

Most of what we haul stays close to home — moving a machine from the yard to a site, between two job sites, or out for service and back. When you've got several pieces to move or a string of sites to hit, we run it as a multi-stop so it's one coordinated trip instead of a pile of separate ones. That keeps your machines working instead of waiting and saves you the headache of juggling separate pickups and drop-offs.

The part that matters most happens before the trailer ever moves: getting the machine loaded square and tied down properly. A piece that isn't secured right is a hazard to everyone on the road and a risk to your equipment, so we load to the trailer's capacity, chain and bind the machine the way it's meant to be, and check it before pulling out. Michigan roads see frost heave, potholes, and rough winter surfaces, and a load that's secured properly handles all of it. The machine that arrives is the machine you sent, ready to drop the bucket and get to work.

Local and Multi-Stop

Skid steers, mini excavators, dozers, and similar heavy machinery and attachments. We match the trailer to the machine so it travels safely and arrives ready to work.

Yes. We plan hauls around your schedule, including tight-window pickups and deliveries, so the equipment is where you need it when you need it.

Loaded and Secured Right

We do. When you've got several machines or several sites, we sequence the run as one coordinated trip so each drop lands on time and your crews keep moving.

Frequently asked questions

Do you serve my area?

We work out of Fenton across Genesee, Oakland, Livingston, and Washtenaw counties. If you're near the edge, ask.

Are estimates free?

Yes — free on-site estimates, residential and commercial.

Are you licensed and insured?

Fully licensed and insured for residential and commercial site work across Southeast Michigan.

How does Michigan freeze-thaw affect this work?

It's the single biggest factor. Water that gets under or behind a structure and freezes is what moves it. Base prep and drainage are where the job is won or lost.
